Colecci\u00f3n Guggenheim de Nueva York.<br>Nos alegra anunciar oficialmente&nbsp;la entrada de Jose Carlos Martinat en la Colecci\u00f3n del&nbsp;Museo Solomon R. Guggenheim de Nueva York.<br><br>Desde el a\u00f1o 2010, el trabajo de Martinat se centra principalmente en indagar y experimentar con los conceptos de apropiaci\u00f3n y recontextualizaci\u00f3n. Es en ese momento cuando da comienzo la serie \u00abPintas\u00bb; extracciones de logos o fragmentos pertenecientes a las campa\u00f1as pol\u00edticas t\u00edpicamente pintadas en los muros de la ciudad de Lima, que posteriormente son recontextualizados en el espacio expositivo. Desde su inicio, el&nbsp; proyecto abri\u00f3 multitud de debates y controversias, poniendo en foco temas como la situaci\u00f3n pol\u00edtica local, los mecanismos de divulgaci\u00f3n de principios e ideales, la posible extrapolarizaci\u00f3n de estas din\u00e1micas a otros territorios, y cuestion\u00f3 otros como el rol del artista y el concepto de autor\u00eda.&nbsp;<br>Felicitamos desde aqu\u00ed a Jose Carlos por su intenso trabajo durante estos a\u00f1os y por este incre\u00edble logro.&nbsp;<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>Jose Carlos Martinat (Lima, 1974)&nbsp;vive y trabaja en Lima (Per\u00fa). Colecci\u00f3n Guggenheim de Nueva York.<br>&nbsp; <em>We are happy to officially&nbsp;announce&nbsp;the entry of Jose Carlos Martinat (Lima, 1974) into the Collection of the&nbsp;Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum of New York.&nbsp;<\/em><br><br><em>Since 2010, Martinat&#8217;s&nbsp;practice has focused mainly on the research and experimentation with the concepts of appropriation and recontextualization. It is at this moment&nbsp;when the series \u00abPintas\u00bb begins; extractions of logos or fragments belonging to the political campaigns tipically painted on the walls of the city of Lima, which are later recontextualized in the exhibition space. From its inception, the project opened multitude debates and controversies. It put focus&nbsp;on issues such as the local political situation, the mechanisms for the dissemination of principles and ideals, the possible extrapolarization of these dynamics to other territories, at the same time&nbsp;it questioned others such as the role of the artist and the concept of authorship.<br><br>We congratulate Jose Carlos for his constant work over the years and for this massive achievement.<\/em><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><em>Jose Carlos Martinat (Lima, 1974) lives and works in Lima (Peru).
